GPs being made redundant. No jobs for newly trained GPs. All while there is a massive shortage of GPs. Surgeries unable to hire more GPs- funding only for replacing the, with PAs and pharmacists. It is a huge scandal and NOBODY in the media will talk about it. #socialistsunday

‘There is simply no conception (within NHS England) of how pivotal GPs are to the cost-effective performance of the health service - let alone to holistic patient care’ So says the ever-insightful @pwhitakerwriter.medsky.social www.newstatesman.com/politics/hea...

I have solved Bird Flu. Give the chickens ivermectin. Have the chickens practice Earthing. The problem with their immune systems is they are not touching the soil enough. Coffee enemas for all chickens. Also we must stop reading them Ibram X. Kendi. Eggs will be back and most importantly not gay.

Good morning friends! Sending you all a big hug on this Friday morning. Today I will be trying to remember that even small acts of kindness and love matter—and to do a few.

The Brexit Curse: Brexit cost UK £27bn in lost trade in first two years. British exports fell by 6.4%, imports by 3.1%. OBR forecast a 15% slump in trade, leading to a 4% reduction in national income, over the longer term. Self-inflicted harm. Rejoin the EU. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

It’s bad enough former Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been allowed to spout his absolute boll**** about “Brexit saving lives” unchallenged on UK news shows - now he’s traveling the world repeating it! Let’s stop him rewriting history - share these actual FACTS youtu.be/pAm62GE6pi8?...

The care provided by the NHS is increasingly sloppy. I don’t think this is the fault of the staff. The systems are overloaded and corners are being cut. Experienced staff are leaving/ being replaced in their droves. And *still* managers are pushed/ pushing for ‘efficiency’ savings.

The USA has by far the most expensive Healthcare in the world. But it is worse even than Poland. I don't think some people understand just how much they are being ripped off and murdered by the Healthcare Industries that steals all their money and gives them nothing.

I have to say that keeping the UK out of the Single Market when 82% of voters want it, and the £42bn a year in extra Public Spending it would enable, and reduction in cost of everything which is the only way you can win the next election. Would be the stupidest political decision ever.

#Syria: Relief efforts continue amidst growing needs in northeast. In response to significant contextual developments including substantial displacement due to hostilities in the northern part of the country we are providing critical assistance to tens of thousands of displaced people. More: 🧵⬇

If you really need healthcare and you pay for it, but then they say you don't need it. What can you do? You can't go somewhere else because they have already taken your money. So you can suffer/die or...

Thames Water needs £3bn in 8 weeks or it goes bankrupt. It must go bankrupt, it must not get a penny from Government, it must not be allowed to raise bills. It is a private company, and it has private debts. Time go find out what happens when you can’t pay your bills.

What do you think about this?🚨

"68,000 US citizens die preventable deaths each year due to a lack of healthcare – and that’s not limited to those who don’t have insurance. Insurers frequently contest claims, leaving sick people stuck with huge bills and unable to afford further treatment."

The USA spends $4tn on Healthcare. The Health Insurance companies made $1.39tn in profit last year. That is 35% of your Health Insurance payments poured straight into their pockets.

Just a reminder: All vaccines used in public health have been rigorously tested. Their benefits greatly outweigh their risks. While a few people have a medical reason for not taking vaccines, most people (and the population overall) will benefit. Doctors who claim otherwise are irresponsible.

This is so spot on. As a climate scientist and public intellectual, I see or experience these often

🚨NEW from me: Climate change caused over a third of weather-related insurance losses this century, and the insurance industry simply isn't ready for what's coming. Featuring @insureourfuture.bsky.social, with comment from @laurielaybourn.bsky.social. Special thanks to @thierryaaron.bsky.social!
