For the past 25 years I have paid 7k a year in co-pays, k6 a year in deductibles and the company has paid another 12K for a family of four. If I get cancer, I'll still probably go bankrupt. I'm one of the lucky ones who can afford insurance. Other people just die.

We're already paying for other people's healthcare, but in the most expensive way possible. Uninsured people put off treatment until it's an emergency, then go to the ER, which is required to treat them.

And the cost of that is built into the bills - and the premiums - of people with insurance.

When you’re born, anything can be seen as pre existing. Health Care in the USA is a shit shower and a grift. I broke my foot once when I lived in the USA. I was refused treatment until I provided a Credit Card. Luckily I had one. Discharged that night, $13,300 later & four hours later I went home.
