Completely agree about homework (former UK teacher and parent, and child of teachers). Perhaps a special exam project now and then, but not the daily loads that blight teachers', children's and parents' lives.
Any evidence would have to separate the student's family background, social status etc from their private schooling.
I've been willing to give Starmer a chance, like many I'm unimpressed.
That's why eejits like Rees-Mogg can get to Oxford - they get 15 to 20 times the investment in teaching & facilities compared to state pupils.
It has tainted our thinking.
It has tainted our productivity and efficiency.
It has tainted our general wellbeing and goodness.
This is the result.
Or water. Or retail energy.
Or public transport, which should also be properly integrated.
