Part of the disingenuousness and analytical bankruptcy is Rich Kaahlenberg conflates “identical” with “equal” when Rich says “same”. But that’s an important and complex analytical decision point. Sometimes “equal” means treating people *differently*, like buying a left-handed desk for a student.
