For every one person I may not like who goes through this, there is also the 10-20 others on their block that may be suffering the same tragedy.

I don't want people who do bad things to suffer. I want them to not want to do bad things. That's it. You don't get revenge on jerks by becoming one.

I know a number of people who lost their homes in these fires. More than half do not meet any definition of rich, except in spirit. I will never stop saying this: Hollywood is a blue collar town. To hate us is to hate normal working people.

The fact that they lost everything... They had no chance of getting anything out. And it's mostly the memories of their family and what holds dear to them. That is heartbreaking. A lot of them are donating to those that they know cannot afford to rebuild... And that's heart..

There is a gulf of difference between genuine schadenfreude and classwar nonsense. Being wealthy and powerful doesn't exclude you from criticism if you're a fucking asshole. But if you disregard someone simply because of their wealth or privilege or fame, you're the asshole.
