This is what we are up against, their children go to the same schools our children go to, I'm okay with their children getting educated, but not getting mine sick because their parent(s) do toilet seat research.
Fun fact: The anti-vax movement started because some psychopath wanted to get rich by selling his own vaccine. He was aided by a disgraced doctor who was fired for stealing from his workplace. He even went so far as to run several invasive tests on children without their parent's consent.
We would use long sleeves and work on a biohazard cabinet. Worked on covid vaccines briefly, and the image on top has so many safety violations. The one on the bottom also has unhealthy potty posture.
One cannot compare these two kinds of research as they are on different levels: professionals and non-professionals.
As a non-professional I did my own research. The difference between me and a anti vaxer is in our choice: What source of research do we value more.
It's honestly really rare for me to come across someone who's actually anti-vax, it's more often about Institutional faith and athoratianism, I wish we could shift the conversation to being about whether or not the science is open source and publicly available vs blind trust.
What exactly is there to "cure" about autism? You do realize that autism isn't exclusively debilitating, right? In fact it's very common to be neurodivergent in academic spaces
Hey, that’s the most important place, a holy place, even! So many ideas run through our heads, only to end up in the porcelain throne. Kind of sad when you think about it! 😉🫠
Metallica, disturbed, chevelle, system of a down, godsmack, hell yeah, Volbeat. Just to name a few. My daughter is totally into a lot of the norse bands like Amon Amarth.
Tell that to my dead cousin that died two weeks after taking the COVID vaccine. Also explain to me the behavioral and mental issues that more children suffer now than 50 years ago when there were less vaccines. Big Pharma is out to make you sick so they can make more money.
Kids are probably suffering more behavior and mental health issues than 50 years because THERE ARE SCHOOL SHOOTINGS AND ACTIVE SHOOTER DRILLS IN SCHOOL. Just assuming this is a result of covid vaccines, with zero proof, is ridiculous
Where is the evidence that your cousin died from the covid vaccine?? And blaming vaccines for kid's increased behavioral/mental issues can't be blamed on one thing. What about the increase of chemicals in our diets? Microplastics? Lead exposure? Food dyes, preservatives, fake processed food?
I'm certain a large percentage of the anti vax people are just afraid of needles and will use any excuse to avoid getting a shot. I could see myself at an earlier stage of mental development going that way.
This post really brought out the trolls. They are pathetic, desperate people who are lonely at TWITler without us, so they've followed us. I use my block button liberally.
Bc one guy decided to make a vaccine. To promote it he decided to fabricate evidence that the MMR causes autism and stomach problems but his was 'safe'. When he got sued he ran to the US, found Jim Carey and Jenny McCarthy and the rest is history. His name is Andrew Wakefield and he's still grifting
(Not so) Fun fact. The retracted Wakefield paper has been cited more times since it was retracted than before. This paper is still in the top ten today of cited retractions today per @retractionwatch.com
Peer review isn’t perfect. Many peer reviewed papers are later retracted. Some journals are more reputable than others. I recommend checking who funded the study before going down the rabbit hole.
Oh for sure, considering how many meta-studies purport no link between vaccines and autism I wouldn't consider the rabbit hole an option. I also remember my MMR and others I can definitely tell you I was autistic before it. I just never had the motivation to seek out and evaluate antivax 'studies'
I didn’t have wisdom teeth but I’ve had all my vaccinations. I also have AC, hmm.
Jenny McCarthy is why. The dr admitted he lied yet the myth persists. It’s nonsense.
So many US-born citizens have this problem understanding that they’re not special in the eyes of the law. That they’re not billionaires after all. That there aren’t expedited disability services just waiting for them that all those other disabled people were too lazy to use. Etc etc etc.
I know someone who is treating a young patient with all the symptoms of polio, but nobody wants to officially give the diagnosis. I asked if it might be making a comeback, and he thinks so. This is where we're at now. Diseases once eradicated are back in the wild.
The vaccine helped PREVENT covid infection. When you said the vaccine wasn't necessary, did you mean let's wait until people get infected with covid and then treat them with these drugs?? That makes zero sense.
Here in the Netherlands almost everybody got the omicron variant, vaccinated or not.
I don't know about early lungcovid.
I'd need a lot of hard data on effectiveness, side effects, and the difference in # of casualties between vaccinated and unvaccinated people to make a good judgement.
People still post nonsense like this? Most the people you're calling anti vaxers are just concerned about the one specific vaxx that was rushed. Then a law made that the companies that made them couldn't be held responsible. There's a constructive way to talk about this. Vague comments aren't it
If 1st Trump hadn't torn up Obama's pandemic plan the US COVID death rate might not be 3,500/million but closer to ours, your ijit, maple-tree-sucker neighbours to the North at 1,400/million... about 700 THOUSAND avoidable deaths. Last time more died from human decisions was Pot's Killing Fields?
I just came here to say, I didn’t vaccinate my son, but he still got diagnosed with autism. So RFK and others are FOS about that. He is now fully vaccinated.
I broadly agree (I'm an ex-nurse, UK). But I have some doubts about clinical trials. It's not so much that I distrust vaccines per se, but that I distrust government - or at least the one we in the UK had during COVID.

Those who don’t believe in science and medicine need to stop clogging up the hospitals!

Out loud!
Me: "I prefer global collective of research teams that are all trying to prove each other wrong, which ultimately leads to the truth"

They don’t believe in round earth, but use GPS. Don’t believe in “chemicals,” but use chemotherapy. Don’t believe in abortion, except for their own.
And that's information after the facts.
I'm an independent btw.
