A recently diagnosed ADHD individual . My anxiety and depression was trying to function in a world not designed for us and burning out. Contact the GP who said you are an adult , you got through school you don't need a diagnosis. Sometimes getting on the ladder to a diagnosis is hard.
So there was the battle of being taken seriously to even get a referral then the long wait for assessment. I can see why those who can go private do so.
It's so easy these days to get a diagnosis from a doctor of brains of looking like a 10 year old who got a wish a bit wrong and then go on to claim over a hundred thousand pounds a year of taxpayer's money. The government should crack down on this sort of thing
