That seems to be the approach of Trump and his minions: use anecdotal evidence, or even lies, to demonize entire groups of people. It's a divide-and-conquer method that the Russians used to turn Americans against each other on social media.

From a coldly economic perspective, what's the impact of excluding 300,000 students, most paying full tuition + living expenses? If you conservatively estimate each student contributing $50K per year, that's $15 billion. And, no, that gap can't be made up (universities have tried).
