Ran the query: UC Berkeley, in 2024 alone, got $161,005,783 in NIH grants for 351 projects.

Until now, average Indirect Cost rate for federal grants is 61%. As of Feb 10, it’ll be 15%. So if my math is correct that’s a $46 million cut. For ONE year. And the rule applies to all past grants too.

for example searching Texas A&M, it looks like indirect rate was 50%. you can also see their total funding and calculate what size hit they would take.
