Hi, sorry for the delay! In the first lockdown of March 2020, we got over 40 people online to help transcribe the whole #Keighley War Hospital Patients Register to an Excel file. The book is in the archives at Keighley Library. (I had already photographed every page.) Library has loads of info too. - ThreadSky

We did have some of the info on Keighley's Great War hospitals on our website, but earlier this month we had a big problem with the site and are in the process of rebuilding it. In the meantime there's some info available on the Library blog here:

It was a stab in the dark to be honest, I never expected it to actually work! Suddenly, my inbox was full of willing volunteers!
Big problem now is working out how we're going to get it online and searcheable, but we've been talking with the Library Services about it. We do look-ups of course.

One of them was semi-retired but he'd been a typist for a big legal firm. He was a super fast touch typist and in the morning I would send him ten pages, each with 29 entries, and they'd be back with me, fully transcribed by lunchtime. Perfectly done, with not one mistake on any of them!
