I think they're simply mass producing Switch knockoffs in China since their eShop is shutting down. Why would there be Switch 2 systems in China when they don't even have an eShop anymore? These rumors are idiotic😑
In looking that up I did find that Nintendo now produces a lot of their systems in Vietnam. Either way, it's more likely that these pictures are of knockoffs than the real Switch 2 imo. I don't think random ppl in China just have the parts on hand, outside of a factory & can take pictures of them.
Something that was needed yeeeeears ago. The switch is great but it's hardware was old at launch. Modern games either just skip the system entirely or get an extremely watered down port. Even some first party exclusives like scarlet/Violet just run horrendously
I hate joy-cons and every time I see that those overpriced cheap plastic pieces of crap are being used again it makes me not want to buy the next system. Pro controller will always be superior, but just another accessory to pay for.
Was joking to my mates about the UI/UX being leaked before we got an official preview from Nintendo. By this point, an unreleased footage of the new 3D Mario using the NX2 is not impossible anymore.
The leaked specs put it around a ps4 pro, but the dlss technology that it has will allow the graphics to look really good. Hopefully that also means that they won't need to sacrifice the framerate so much anymore as well
In part, I agree and think it’s weird that they didn’t take a photo of the face buttons, but also I think it’s a moot point here. Joy-Con R is the one that supposedly has a new face button, not Joy-Con L.
Just show us the thing already Nintendo. I feel like these leaks are more of a pain in the ass for them now than just showing off the unit and putting a date range out.
You got your last holiday season out of the Switch, let it fucking go already.
Even if they don’t drift after six months like the last time, it’s still a controller for ants. The buttons are still too small and the sticks don’t have enough throw.
This isn’t necessarily true. That form accepts any three letters followed by a correct check digit at the end. It’s an impressive amount of detail if fake, but it easily could be fake.
So theoretically, this could still be done by a really impressive fake. Fair enough, although that’s still a lot of work. Not to mention that this Joy-Con has a tone of detail to the point where it’d be hard (but not impossible) to fake.
I saw comments on Reddit speculating it could be used as a mouse and I wonder if so maybe this could have something to do with the stuff @luigiblood.bsky.social datamined on the NSO apps regarding SNES Mouse? 🕵🏻
I'll be honest I don't believe this is for a mouse-like feature.
It does look optical but I don't really buy it is for a mouse-like thing, and the datamine is about emulation of a virtual SNES peripheral which has nothing to do with actual devices that could work with it.
Right, I was more thinking if this ends up being a mouse feature then they could’ve perhaps been testing it with the NSO, not that the datamine leaked/ hinted at the device/ controller itself.
I hope it happens, even if it has nothing to do with NSO. Seems like a cool idea

(Doesn't the middle slot look like a micro SD card slot though?)
Needs to be BKEBEE012
Surely not much longer with the constant rumor pictures.
Like, Nintendo just pulled one under the leakers lol
“They might be trying to hide information so the leak isn’t obvious or taken down by Nintendo”
But they showed the back with a serial number sooooooooooooooooo
Reveal the damn console
This shit be a circus right now
Maybe my brain is looking at it like an optical illusion, but I’m calling shenanigans on it all.

Damn phone
My first time hearing about that sensor between the ZL and ZR buttons and people speculating it could be so the controller can be used like a mouse…
How cool if so, maybe we could get some PC ports like StarCraft if so

Seeing people assume Nintendo is just gonna add mouse aiming to their games because of it is weird and not at all what they would do
The IR camera is in every Joycon and has what, half a dozen use cases?
It could be used for games like Mario Maker as an option, not as the only way to play.
Here's a video if you can't visualize it:
