Disagree on the negative comments here - worth a play through IMO. I had fun with it and I’ve played all the other DA games. It’s just different but that’s not a bad thing.

I think when a series is so storied a lot of people expect different things. Personally I hated the Solas character and when this was announced that it would revolve around that I didnt care. But it sure looks pretty and kinda fun.

I loved DA:O and liked most of DA:I. I’m usually much more forgiving of games compared to most people, but this really felt like a mess. Inconsistent tone, inconsistent lore, characters I don’t care about, stakes that don’t matter. I just couldn’t bring myself to care. Wait for it to hit $10

Also the least amount of dialogue for a Bioware RPG. That might be a positive. I love DA:0, DA:2, currently replaying a heavily modded DA:I. DA:V does have some nice looking environments. After the live-service DA was scrapped, they started from scratch and finished Veilguard < 3 years. It shows.

Agreed on everything. Funny enough I hated DA2 (mostly because of the constant “hallways” in every map and some weird opening lore stuff) but Veilguard is so bad, I want to go back and replay 2 just to feel something

Shame. I think DA lost me because I think it never delivered on the promise of a massive, multigame story. No game really feels connected the way they initially sold it (and Im not even talking about desicions carrying through). I was so hyped about Morrigan's child and that has amounted to nothing.

I've already bought too many games, and while I have a love/hate thing with Dragon Age, I do wanna play this. Not now, though. Honestly the premise isn't that appealing to me. But I'll play it eventually...and on Xbox. Got nostalgia for DA on Xbox.

This isn't as good as the other Dragon Age games but it is a decent enough action game. Dragon Age-lite in tone and story.

Not as bad as some people say it is.
