We'd need more footage but it seemed the only technical updates were framerate and resolution. Assets and environmental detail seemed the same so this seems appropriate.
When I first saw this, with the subheading over the pictures, I assumed that this also applies to the upgrades for Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Metroid Prime Beyond.
The mario party upgrade at least has new content, the Zelda ones are just res and perfomance bumps, and HDR, Sony gave their PS4 flagship titles a free update to make the games run at 60 on ps5.
Ten bucks for the PS5 versions of the games, but a lot of PS4 titles that were already PS4 Pro Enhanced had a resolution and FPS bump when playing them on PS5
Ghost of Tsushima and TLoU II both had a 1440p @ 60fps when playing their last gen versions on the new system iirc, before their rereleases
Do you think the act of just playing a Switch developed game on a Switch 2 automatically makes the game harness the power of the new console? There is programming involved, which costs money.
Every single other company, even the greediest of them all, offers you next gen upgrades just by launching the game in a new console.

Even Scarlet and Violet will be receiving free upgrades on the Switch 2 and will be available for all users. If those games can get upgrades available for everyone, so can BOTW.
I mean, thats how computer works. Like I was just expecting botw to run at 60fps on switch 2, and was shocked that it runs at 120fps. I just dont like paying for that upgrade
It doesn't cost a lot to do that though. unlocking the framerate cap + upping the resolution and re-compiling the game with the new NVN2 API shouldn't be a huge cost.

But it's only for Zelda BOTW and TOTK?

It's not free.
