Then again, some people are still so mad at Wolfenstein: Youngblood that they refused to even give the new Indiana Jones game the time of day.
Some gamers are better at holding grudges than controllers.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood was never meant to be Wolfenstein III.
From the very beginning, it was always meant to be a SPIN-OFF.
(also, I will actually be sad if nuWolf III somehow ended up canceled due to backlash from Youngblood/New Colossus)
But I'd imagine the teen girl protags are the reason it's still *so* reviled, compared to other disasters of that era.
I refuse to buy it until they remove that microtransaction BS it has. There's an expansion that can't be purchased with nothing but microtransaction money that NEVER goes on sale.
But yeah, besides Youngbloods there was also Fallout 76 of course, and Quake Champions, and it's pretty obvious Redfall was supposed to be a live-service game originally.
It doesn't play well solo because it's 100% designed for two players and the bots are very stupid.
It seems like that will never happen and all the dropped hints are just dead ends now.
YB is a mechanical mess more than it is a stylistic one
Not beating the grudge-holder allegations.
Zero times a number is still zero.
