Looks like they plan on hitting Steam in early access this July, and there's going to be a Kickstarter soon, which if it does exceptionally well, they'll add multiplayer.

It reminds me a lot of Peripeteia, with its physics'y gunplay, and scrunchy PS1-style aesthetics, but the sheer scope and ambition of it (interplanetary travel and sandbox mercenary contracts) is on another level.

Not sure how it'll fare on a macro scale but the combat looks legit.

It all sounds a bit overly ambitious but about half of the best games of all time are the result of tiny studios aiming for the stars.

See stuff like Dwarf Fortress, Caves of Qud, and just recently, Heart of The Machine.

To be fair, Dwarf Fortress and Caves of Qud prove you can make an extremely ambitious game that's also great to play, provided you spend literal decades doing nothing but working on them.
