After playing Deadlock for the almost 40 hours over the last few days, I cannot fathom how disconnected from reality you have to be in order to think Marvel Rivals is anything but the most mediocre of slop. In a game that's sufficiently well written, the illusion of choice serves the same function as actual choice on a first playthrough unless the player goes out of their way to test the outcomes of choices. Seeing as most players don't finish games, especially longer ones, this makes sense.

United Healthcare denied coverage for my shoulder surgery that was supposed to happen today, lmao. My doctor submitted an appeal to try to have my case escalated in priority as a mandatory procedure and I should receive the results by next Friday. As of right now, the surgery isn't happening.

Played Elden Ring: Nightreign. While it's not terrible and has some cool ideas, I could not fathom paying for it. In simple terms, it's like if Monster Hunter sucked. It's one of the worst rogue-lites I've ever played, and to my utter shock, the bosses have few if any ai improvements for groups.
