It's usually the latter. Seeing something for the first time is such a brief experience that you don't really think as much about it being bad, unless it's like BAD bad. Overexposure makes the tiny things obvious
Sometimes it's both, and that's a bummer. Sometimes you need a break. Sometimes it's neither and you're just your worst critic. Either way, you still did a thing
Ugh yes. The more time I spend editing something, the more I can't tell if it's great or terrible or meh or what. Eventually I just can't stand to look at it any more.
