If I have it all to myself, riding across this bridge (Bryant over Minnehaha) is fun.
If anyone else is walking/biking from the other direction, it’s instantly not fun.
I’d love to see this bridge 2-3x as wide some day to better accommodate bike and ped traffic.

Mannnny underage cigarettes smoked in the superstructure, that I can tell you for sure.
Where is north south Bryant bike traffic supposed to go, if not over the bridge?
@olsenforparks.bsky.social do you have any insider info on any plans with the Byrant bridge over Minnehaha creek? I assume it’s parks property?
Ongoing projects are updated here: https://www.minneapolisparks.org/park-care-improvements/park-projects/current_projects/
I do always dismount or just stop if a ped is coming the other way, but seems like the bridge should be wider to accommodate everyone!
Bryant is a bike blvd, after all… how can we ban bikes on it?
I recall the last time they closed the bridge and I complained to my park board rep about the lack of a bike detour. They told me tough luck.
I wish the streetcar bridge was still there. It went from the parkway on the north side to the top of the hill at 53rd. The incline was way less steep.
Pretty bizarre to have a bike boulevard that dead ends on both sides with a bridge that says no bikes.
I have ridden this bridge dozens & dozens of times & never noticed this tiny sign on the back of the stop sign.
The bike boulevard apparently dead ends on both sides of the bridge on Bryant. 😟
