The conversation was a helpful reminder to me how lucky I am to live in a city w/ density & investments in infrastructure that enable walking/biking/rolling/transit.

I wish everyone who wanted to live someplace like this, could find & afford to do so.

I totally get that. I see posts from people going "Oooh, I saw someone else on a cargo bike in my town today", and I really have to remember how different it is there. It's such a privilege to live in a place where you can go everywhere on safe infrastructure, and everone see bikes as a natural.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a cargo bike in my home town. Lots of golf carts though!

Yeah, it’s totally understandable! But a reminder to me how much of a bubble I’m in.

NO ONE has reacted that way here bc obviously we see them all over.

Though I have gotten some stares with my new cargo trike. 😆
