I'm tired of seeing talented musicians using generated artwork for album covers & music videos or writers using it for their book covers. Generative tools harm the creative ecosystem as a whole.

You'd think they'd understand.
who are you to tell other artists how to make their money?
to each their own.
whether you like it or not.
10 years from now,
your complaint won’t even be a memory.
for not actually playing a real guitar!
it’s coming next year.
all past adaptations will be obsolete.
you think that Hollywood would strike if the fear wasn’t legitimate?
you mock the technology because it’s still in the early stages.
computers don’t have the benefit of filming actual physics;
they must learn it themselves,
and then draw it.
you’re not even considering VR,
which will make video games obsolete.
in 10 years,
you will be able to relive the Resident Evil mansion yourself in an instant,
all from a text prompt.
Before AI, people found a way to do it. Not now. It’s the easy (cheat) button … we also lose our connection to humanity & community with reliance on this tech. It robs us & those who adore it don’t realize it. Life & creating art is about the struggle & cooperation
And a lot of it is slop.
I understand your concern, but I've also noticed AI can be a powerful tool the help people make things they wouldn't be able to make without it. Sorry for sounding like an AI apologist.
This is their genAI era slop

Don’t use a word processor
Kodak doesn’t sell film anymore
Yet more movies are made than ever. People are shooting films on iPhones.
I was one of the first digital VFX editors in the world, now there of thousands.
Ai is a tool.
Artistry is a skill.
I think it's pretty sad if true, that the anti-AI zeitgeist would be so imprecise that you don't even have confidence you can safely complain about it
No worries
Garbage on the outside, garbage on the inside.
and I halved it every time someone complained about AI
by the time I was below $10, I'm not sure I received even a single offer from an actual human artist
Can you make art, by the way?
You offered 300$ those who saw didn't want to do the job, there's no assumption lol, my point still stands that there are many artists who would do it for 300$ unless it's some ridiculous ask.
Nothing AI
That's my stance when seeing generated album art in any case.
When AI is used on the cover, I doubt the artistic integrity on the project as a whole.
