Metal rails can be much quieter than what the MTA uses. The US uses old outdated technology and construction designs that are loud.

I'm excited to see where Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology leads us in terms of city transit bus options. Many transit agencies throughout the country are having reliability & range issues with their electric bus fleets. A HFC bus could provide the benefits of an electric and trolley bus with less fuss.

Those electric trollies have been in Seattle for as long as I can remember going back to at least the 1970s.

What is ridiculous to me is how many cities want super expensive battery powered buses when this sort of old technology is so much cheaper and easier.

I actually think the wires add vibe.

This stop, #9857, is the northern terminus of the 49 & 70, and a major station for the 44!

The 70 has been temprarily dieselized for construction, but will become the RapidRide J in 2026 - our first trolley RapidRide!
