Kentucky, I have some tough news to share. This morning in Frankfort, a child died after being swept away by floodwaters. My heart breaks for this family. Please join Britainy and me in praying for them following this unimaginable loss. 1/2

Prayer is a futile endeavor that offers nothing beyond fleeting psychological solace to the individual engaging in it, while providing no benefits or impact whatsoever. It is a hollow ritual that fails to deliver any outcome, serving only as a self-soothing mechanism devoid of substance.
So sorry to hear of this loss. Climate change is wreaking havoc everywhere. Hurricanes coming far inland & longer, more powerful tornado seasons. LA fires. Flooding in IN & KY while 2 states down in NC & SC we're having drought & fires. But Trump stops green initiatives in favor of Drill Baby Drill.
Governor Beshear, I hate to break into this sad news for something this mundane, but your state has been hit w/ bad weather for months now. Has anyone in this administration, much less trump, made any comments or condolences or offered any hint of aid coming your way?
We need to know as FEMA may go.

🙏🏼 Unimaginable grief.
I can’t change the bad event that happened here, and it’s terrible. Was in Frankfort yesterday and it’s bad.
I’m not close enough to fix this, and it’s not a political thing. This is a time to pray if you’re so inclined and it’s totally okay.
We need to know as FEMA may go.
