No left turn signals, so you end up waiting to turn left in a line of 5-10 cars deep. Normal to sit through around 8-10 green lights before turning left, esp during rush. People don’t look to see where they are walking.
Cities as large as Chicago ought to have No Turn On Red at intersections. I've handled numerous pedestrian accidents and deaths due to such circumstances of poor city planning. Can't imagine how many lawsuits are brought against IDOT for this very reason.
Francisco Cartagena - North/Damen/Milwaukee. Any 3 street intersections are madness, but this one takes the cake, especially since you have to play the "which way is this person going?" game.

Foster and Northwest Hwy Traffic getting on I-90 interlinked with no one knowing whether they're turning onto Central iron making the weird jog through the neighborhood to stay on Foster makes it a nightmare.
The Sheridan corridor generally (aka, Northshore LSD) but Sheridan and Thorndale stands out for its incredibly short crossing light and masses of elderly and kids crossing to the beach. I commute by bike or bus. Chicago needs a protected bike lane grid!
Absolutely any street and Irving Park Road. I'm mostly a pedestrian and transit user and getting cars to lawfully stop for you is impossible. It's no coincidence that IDOT manages Irving.(Cait Hakala)
As a pedestrian, the intersection of Farwell and Ashland in Rogers Park. The stop signs are routinely ignored, and many drivers are staring at their phones.
