I'm curious, since Canada exports mostly steel, aluminum, nickel, rare earth minerals, oil, potash, uranium, isotopes, electricity & softwoods, which ones are you stocking up on exactly?
You do realize when Trump pulls his retaliation stunt Canada will be in their rights to just turn it all off.
Pretty much everything. The tariffs affect US manufacturers. Canned goods will be affected by steel and aluminum. Farmers by potash and peet. Electricity affects the price of everything.
Since you're not buying from target, I also assume you're not buying from Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Amazon, the other big boxes… And I assume you're buying small business. But how much extra is that costing you? Or is target the least worst among all these? Just asking.
Thanks for responding. I appreciate your feedback and ideas. Genuinely, it's a topic that interests me. I don't feel like I have a clear response except for really to cut back on what I buy.
Me as well. I’m trying to only eat at local restaurants. Go to farmers markets. I’m still trying to find a local target type business. We don’t have general stores anymore.
I never have shopped at Walmart. I don’t have a reason to shop at HD or Lowe’s but they have been off my list even I did have a reason. Amazon I find the product then go to the company’s websites from there. I have not heard of Menards. I am trying to find local business alternatives

In this together. Don’t take more than you need.
