I mean, being able to dock it to the TV is also pretty great not gonna lie! I think they are both pretty great devices, but one can't replace the other!
i mean you can jail brake a 3ds i have seen it on youtube but its easily one of the most backwards ass ways to go about installing the softwear just to get it to work personaly i would rather go the emulator route
Or just play the game you have on it 🤣
I like the hardware, the 3D effect and all, and I have a bunch of physical games for it :), they were cheap for a bit, before they close the store.
i still have my *new* 3DS XL its just ... its kinda lost alot of usage now that online is shut down monster hunting solo in those games is brutal for example and Animal Crossing New leaf you basicly lost 50% of content or so and Mario Kart 7 have fun racing only AI
I think it was pretty rare in the US, only for some special editions, but it was available at launch here in europe. I also have the nice kirby plates on 😊
Truth, and no emulation solution comes close. I’m considering buying an incredibly costly box fresh one just to have a backup for when my original dies
The 3DS consoles are just really cool in general, especially with hacked software. Haven't really played my 3DS in quite a while, though, since I got my Steam Deck.
I agree with this. While the 3D slider became more useless as the 3DS went on, it’s still a great console. But the “new” in the console’s name didn’t age very well. Justice for the 3DS
Switch is honestly awful in comparison to the 3ds line. Pricier, less battery life, poor durability, JOYCONS, etc etc. 3ds is also like the ultimate emulation machine other than steam deck.

Switch is large and unwieldly for travel at times. But hey, gaming tablet.
Although playing DS in 2008 was an amazing journey. Elite Beat Agents was sooo goood!
Bummer
