it's not collaborative storytelling either, it's roleplay-gaming
if you want to construct scenes, plan arcs, and use narrative timing instead of cause-and-effect to resolve outcomes, leave my table and write a book (which would be rad as hell, i'm rooting for you)

Here’s my TTRPG hot take: it’s collaborative storytelling, not amateur theater.
If you’re going to be in character throughout, with a shaky accent and other affectations, leave my table and go find a LARP.

I’m just saying that anyone who thinks that a play session is an improv stage needs to find someone else to play with. Tell me what your character is doing, and only do a voice and accent when it’s crucial to the story.
