Very few conservative Americans actually care about grocery prices. So many drive 4 ton pickups with 17mpg to buy cheap, ultra-processed foods and want the Hummer of dishwashers.

It was never about food prices. It’s just a cover for bigotry.

I’m skeptical. If we have a trade war, then other countries tariff the shit out of US agricultural products. So then there is a glut of domestic food prices, which probably brings down average grocery prices. Of course certain individual products will see cost increases (like, say, bananas)
