The very act that you need to buy a home is extortion. Shelter is behind a paywall, and that payment is a subscription service that can be taken away by eviction, medical debt, unemployment, accident, zoning laws, fire, or weather. And it will always be the buyer's fault.

Yes, though under any system homes have value because of the labor needed to build them. Which is why buying a home isn't inherently bad but hoarding homes with the intent of creating false scarcity to extort others is.

We need legislation to force landlords to liquidate in phases.

Yes and have initiatived to keep builders employed by having them upgrade homes as we understand how to make them more sustainable over time.

We should be able to pass on your house while providing job opportunities with returns on investments for everyone involved.

The hard part is a sensible way to remove the landlords.

My belief is that we should give all landlords 3 years to reduce residential units owned to 500. Another 3 to 250, ect.

By units I also include apartments that can become co-ops or condos.

So, we're not going back, right? Like, after it gets hard to grow an audience and we think how the algorithm used to be good and so we'll try it again because, oh gosh, TikTok is just so dang easy!

I acknowledge my initial thoughts were a bit short-sighted. TikTok was a lot of people's livelihoods, so I understand going back. But we gotta build some way for them to make money without us catering to billionaires' whims. 🤔 Anyone have any ideas?

I agree! I just want to be able to know what’s actually going on when things happen. With the inauguration being foisted upon us I’m really worried about if we won’t see things as they happen which will cause more problems. It may be irrational but I just have such a bad feeling.

We have to acknowledge that the people who were on TikTok didn't just disappear. We were silenced, so we do what every silenced group has done. We find each other again, and build our communities again. We can start HERE, but we ALL have to engage and build it.
