can’t believe you guys are turning to chat gpt for book recommendations, all you need is one friend with ADHD who will try to get you into a new fandom every two weeks

I’ve never had any luck using ChatGpt for recommendations but besides algorithm, much harder these days to come across recommendations. I wish more people used Goodreads 😑
Have you tried Lord of the Games of the Rings of Time of the Throne of the Chronicles of the Mists of the Amulet of the Prince of the Children of the Dragon of the Land of the Magic Sword of the Wheels of the Riddle Shadows?
Truth, read what inspires not what formulates. Isn't the goal to be authentic and unique rather than do what is done overall anyway? Thus neurodivergent book clubs and lists are a must.
Hey, quick question for you and your readers on this thread: what do you use to keep track of recommendations? Just a note on your phone, or something like todoist/trello?
Just start the Malazan Books of the Fallen, and if you get sucked-in, you won’t need a new fandom for two years or so, excluding backtracking, rereading, and studying wikis to fully appreciate Karsa Orlong or Kruppe.
Hell, you don't even need a friend. Just go to a book store and someone there can and will recommend you a book. That's how I started reading Red White & Royal Blue(or as I like to call it, presidential yaoi)
I introduced my friends to Song of Achilles, Captive Prince, Hades, The Spear Cuts Through Water, Invincible, the Iliad, the Odyssey, the Thebaid, Epic the Musical, Paris the Musical, Vox Machina, Chappell Roan, Aidoneus, MICO, The Boys and now they're trying to get me to check out Alien Stage

Not ADHD (that would be my eldest) but definitely divergent enough to have a long list of recommendations of genre fiction... and music.
I'm the one with too many fandoms and always picking up more.
...have you read Stormlight Archives? LOL
