Jack is absolutely right. Unfortunately, what I’ve found is this very sensible rule doesn’t seem to apply when some folks talk about cops. Like most groups, until you’ve spent a day in their shoes it’s all hypothetical. You think you do but you don’t. Thanks.

Maybe, NO ONE should use a GENERALIZATION to describe the entire group of ANY group.
Maybe...if we stopped taking short-cuts, and being lazy with our language, being very SPECIFIC about INDIVUDUALS, maybe the WHOLE GROUP...would feel like they weren't being attacked for the actions of the few? 1/3
