My mother wanted to be a veterinarian, but when she applied to Cornell they told her that they “already had a girl in the program.” She was going to join a convent but my grandmère convinced her to try a year of college. (She became a teacher and later a radiation biology professor.)

And then when she found out that she was expecting me, she finished the academic year, resigned, and became a stay at home mom to the (eventually) six of us and an active volunteer in the community.

Here’s Ma (at right, in the tank top). She must’ve been just about my age at the time. Next to her is her sister, Aunt Lil- the number one reason I hate RFK Jr so much. (She had polio and was in an iron lung.) The 3rd lady is Aunt Jean- my Uncle Bub’s wife. All gone now.

Yes! I have three younger brothers and two younger sisters. Before my parents married, Ma broke her back. Dr said she’d never carry children to term and trying would cripple her. On honeymoon she climbed St. Joseph’s oratory on her knees and prayed for children. That God- what a kidder! 🤣

A friend’s grandmother always would say “if I’d killed him when I wanted to I’d have been out by now”. I know other women had the same thoughts (including my own grandma). She was trapped for decades until the laws changed in the 70’s.

Many of us do not believe that we CHOSE the outcome that we got. There were way too many anomalies in this election that don't make sense. And now, some data analysts are showing data that supports the election was STOLEN. So get off the train that corp media created!
