I am estranged, my choice, from pretty much my entire family, other than my Mother. Decent people don't support a rapist, felon, fraud, and insurrectionist for POTUS, and I don't want indecent people in my life. It is time to stop trying to figure out how good people support Trump, they don't.

I love them so much, but they're isolated. Despite raising me to fact-check and verify data, as they've aged they've become susceptible to Fox rhetoric. We have to shy away from politics now because they're so anti-Democrat they'll do anything to justify what's happening.

I lost everyone except my brother joey and his wife. I mean everyone. All my friends. We actually bought a house in the southwest to be away for 6 months. What’s really cool is I’m surrounded by Canadians and all we talk about is hockey.

I had to cut off my own father, brother, and step-brother way back in 2018. No contact since, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

My dad is going on 85 so maybe I should reach out before he kicks it, but the anxiety when I think about that is a lot.

Easter 2016 my (then) father-in-law flipped out when I smiled after he said something insanely stupid about Hillary. I haven't talked about anything but the weather with him since. I stay civil for my son's sake, and even he knows not to talk about politics in front of him so he doesn't get mad.

Yes, my sister told me just before the 2020 election that she didn’t think she could associate with me because I’m a Democrat. She was too her whole life, not sure what happened but she fell hard into the cult. Her daughter did too. It is what it is.

I stopped bringing stuff up. No matter how crazy or outrageous it is, she will just glaze over and say something like "did you hear what happened at Menards..." and I know its that citizens app again where they only focus on black crime.
