I once got fired from a job because I said I wouldn't have a fucking 20-year-old kid for a boss. They tried to hold my job over my head by putting me on temporary suspension. We were at loggerheads for 3 months, but in the end unemployment sided with me.
“Hey, you’ve been called in to justify your job to me.”
“Yes. Are you Big Balls or Racist b4 it was cool?”
“None of your business b!tch. I’m gonna fire you for asking me my name. You think you have rights? Bye.”
That’s how I imagine those convos go.
Civil Service is a well-oiled machine. Everyone has a job to do. Everyone has a supervisor. This is the only unassailable response:
"In accordance with my Civil Service position, I responded to all instructions from my supervisor, completing all tasks in a timely and exemplary manner."
Its pretty common outside of the government IME. That doesn't mean I recommend it but it sounds like how big corps run things. Corporate has been an increasing joy over the last 20 years.
What annoys the living shit out of me with all of this, beyond it's sheer arrogance, is seeing comments that all say the same general thing: "They've never had a real job, about time they had to justify sucking up tax dollars". 30%+ of the fed work force are vets, yet couch commandos feel free
to denigrate their service as "never having a real job". I can't wait to see the screaming from these Fox-News-loving-assholes when the people who handle their tax returns, their social security, their pensions all get axed because "they've never had a real job." I have zero fucks to give Trumpists.
my response was verbose, articulate, chatty, effusive, garrulous, glib, loquacious, voluble, long-winded, prolix, lengthy, excessive, windy, protracted, redundant, tedious,
tiresome, and a bit too much.
Imagine having fought for your country, thinking you were fighting for democracy, then have your fellow citizens turn around and hand your country to Russia.
How many of those people are left or who have a sense of the history? Trump has been preaching for a decade that Putin and Russia aren't threats. It's always been about Ukraine.
Another Big Lie sold.
