Any man at age 82 has difficulty with urination. The problem with urinary incontinence or an inability to empty a bladder is not necessarily related to cancer… prostate enlargement happens to all men if they live long enough. JS

My father had prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones in the 1990s. He lived many years with it. Treatments are much better now. What eventually killed him was weakness from clinical trial that led to a fall and subdural hematoma, inoperable due to low ability to clot (prob from trial meds).

I actually have a friend whose husband was diagnosed with same maybe...4 years ago? Prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. Why is he still here today and doing well? The on going medical research that HAD been happening until, what, weeks ago? New treatments were coming in all the time....

My husband was diagnosed last September with a normal PSA. He is also Gleason 9 and being treated at MSK. Prognosis is in 6 mts based on his current response to meds he will be in remission. The treatments are targeted and largely successful. Those who don’t know about prostate cancer need to STFU.

My dad was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer, hormone sensitive, over five years ago. Had all the treatments, hormone therapy and radiation. Cross fingers no recurrence so far.
