These are great. The soldier's surliness stands out. You want to add tongs/gloves to the smith. For that one end to be red hot the other end would be hot enough to burn her flesh to the bone.
Caprines traditionally were, and some still are, organized into clans in the maze-like mountainous reaches of the Wind Corridor. Their colorful sashes are embroidered with geometric patterns as distinctive to each clan as flags are to nations.
For some reason it just makes sense in my head that their iconography and art would be based around hard edges and big shapes. Maybe it’s the big dumb hoof hands I gave them.
