A freezing visit to Pilning Wetland produced my first Pochard of the year on the Grebe pond (sadly this is now only just about an annual visitor to our patch). There were 100's of Teal, Wigeon and Lapwings, 50+ Shoveler, 35+ Gadwall and 80+ Curlew, some showy Snipe and a lone Bar-tailed Godwit.
