From outside the US, as the opposition they are there to oppose. They don't seem to be shouting what is happening from the rooftops. Giving it a name and participating in extra parliamentary (?) actions. Rule is by consent, their job is to support, develop and marshall those who don't consent.

Trump will push through laws to ensure permanent Republican rule if he can. Playing nice and trying to meet Republicans part way will get the Dems nowhere. They need to be loud, they need to call out lies, and they need to help educate the public on what is happening or there won't be another chance

Sadly, the 16 Dems on the budget committee introduced 32 amendments to the budget bill, including corralling all the DOGE firings, and all 32 were defeated by the Repub majority. They are doing their jobs, but that’s not going to be effective while in they’re in the minority.

Foreign policy wise, the US is quickly becoming an international pariah.

It’s a failure of leadership. It’s not like the Democratic leadership was caught unaware of #project2025. They knew long before the election & had months after the election to develop a plan of resistance. They had millions of Americans willing to help. But no action plan was developed.
