Back in my TV reporter days, I was riding around downtown Birmingham, on a Saturday morning.
At the time (late 90s,) the city was promoting the Birmingham Pledge.
That morning I was riding by, they were in the process of painting it.
I called a police captain I knew, and told him that the city was close to a rather bad national embarrassment.
If you look, you’ll see that the letters in the word Believe have a slightly tighter kerning, where they had to retrofit the E’s.
