Starting out with my new channel, I really had no idea what kinda views to expect and certainly don't want to compare myself with others who've been at this a very long time, I've only got my livestreaming to compare to where getting 100 viewers is a good day for me, and so this seems real good?

my most viewed video is a God Of War 2 video I uploaded back in 2022

most of the other videos are Punch-Out wii videos with around 5-7K Views each

so, for a new channel, getting high views is good

I have a bunch of content channel ideas, so I watch how breakout steps happen fairly closely. From what I've seen, the first 5-10k video says to the algorithm "this person is on the ladder, sprinkle them into wider recommendations a bit in the future & see if they step up to another rung."

It is. I got some friends to shout out each of my very long essays when I didn't have that much of a following. My She-Ra and Godzilla essays combined have a bit over 25k views combined. Keep going and have some big YouTubers you know share the vids on their community tabs and that can help you!

One of the things I'm finding, quite honestly, is that audience doesn't necessarily translate over, like I found that a lot of people follow me for my posts on social media, but never watch my streams, etc. So I'm finding that I kinda need to establish an audience on youtube
