Learned about poetry today and discovered that poetry as a medium is intended to be read aloud.
I took a poetry book from goodwill, flipped to a page the last owner dog-eared, and read 2 short poems aloud. I couldn't make it to the end of either without crying.
New appreciation (magic?) unlocked.
