A project I started work on involves a necromancer raising undead, turning the discarded lives the king built his wealth on into an army to depose him.

Gameplay would be lottery scratchers: opening graves, coffins, people, houses to get minion parts.

At the end, you'd scratch off the king's face.

Raising the dead and hoping you don't get the Court Jester (or maybe that's a good thing).

I was thinking the player would find gold to buy upgrades, bones to make skeleton helpers, and souls to animate them. I have a prototype: I can dynamically delete pixels in a texture. Next step is detecting that loot has been exposed. Maybe I'll get around to it someday.

I like this idea - it would be cool to see if you ever do get around to it. Few people realise ideas are worth their weight in gold, so hold onto it.

Heck, use it to buy skeleton parts :)

I've also heard "ideas are cheap," sometimes it's all in the execution. It's partly why I don't mind if someone else wants to make a game like that. It would be different from mine!

I've also heard this but personally don't agree with it... Or more accurately, it's due a more nuanced discussion. Eitherway, if you don't mind it then that's all that matters
