The big problem is lack of education and thus people making (mainly not deliberately) ignorant choices. That includes transparency on where money comes from.

I'm sure most people if more fully understanding would vote for sustainable environmental progress.

The donations are made to a politician so that they represent the payee’s agenda, not the best interests of the public at wide. Paying a politician to do as you wish is corruption, a ‘donation’ is just a legalised bribe. Remove all donations to ensure less chance of corruption.

Just heard on Ferrari’s LBC show a Tory minister who is part of GWPF claim when challenged on funding that no fossil fuel companies are allowed to donate. All donations are from individuals. Thought there was more to this claim.

The problem is that conservatives by their nature are for hire as they believe in the free market for everything, I know left wing organisations are open to donations and “freebies” but conservatives etc. are flexible in terms of funding
