The problem is their manifestos are really just a list wish the think will get them votes so cannot really be trusted . What’s needed is a red line list that even in coalition they promise to deliver

Of course it is Helen. I don’t have any kids either but it doesn’t mean I don’t worry on behalf of my nieces/nephews/all of the upcoming generation. Thankfully both my parents are still with me so I need to safeguard the future for them.

and yes I should have added elderly care to that list. I had to negotiate it too when I came back to live in Ireland. Sadly only the deaths of my mother and aunt curtailed those dreadful negotiations. Will never forget it.

I agree with your priorities, but one must also vote to ensure that we have a strong pro-enterprise economy if we want to have all the good things for the young and old. We can't go back to the era when our brightest and best had to emigrate & not just for fun.

Like you, I’ve no kids, but I have many young people in my life & I care deeply about their futures. Also, if we don’t look after them, who will look after us when the tables of age & ability have turned? & btw, data centres & tech are not the be-all & end all… small businesses are vital.

Sadly , it’s so local. What we are given to vote for. A party isn’t answering my voting preferences. But I’m stuck with what I’m being given. I’m trying to use my vote wisely. Difficult.

My problem is the insular/local, 'wink and elbow language of delight' prevailing in my Co. I will vote! Not sure,yet.Detest local agendas/nods. Concerned about national issues-housing, elderly, adult/youth mental health.
Don't get me started on the phones or hotmeal waste in schools. Also 🌎.Despair

Also what’s good for individual groups is good for all e.g losing highly educated teachers,nurses,health/social care professionals due to salaries not covering prohibitive costs housing/childcare does nobody any good and is a live issue in health and education. Makes no economic sense either.

Yes we should vote for the good of the country and general population not just our own selfish benefit. That idea is probably reserved for the older generation but I would recommend it to everyone - we all live here together.
