Nothing super new. Discord for engaging with your core community and TikTok for reach and growth have already pretty much been the standards in the past years, but I expect this will accelerate. We'll also see more brands ditching X/FB simply to mitigate risks, and because they don't see ROI.

You want to control the content associated with your brand and community, and to retain some ability to shape it in a direction that serves your strategy and objectives. Algorithms and these changes in moderation guidelines prevent you from doing this on X/FB/Insta/TikTok.

Which is not to say these platforms can't generate value, especially by exposing your content to more people by taking advantage of the algorithm (plenty of great examples on TikTok for gaming communities), but they're not the place where you'll be able to build and engage with your community.

I think Reddit is a super interesting case considering their own ways if handling moderation (decentralized but centrally coordinated). I could honestly see them benefiting quite a bit from these changes if they manage to maintain their current approach.

Still, I think old farts like us should not ditch TikTok and whatever the next content-focused platform is going to be, as they're where new generations live and where they discover content.

For showcasing of content and marketing? Absolutely. And being very intentional about the purpose of those platforms for media. Like YT, TT and IG are still solid, as long as you don’t replicate content and dilute its strengths.
