Be nice to have a POTUS who's been all in on the dangers of climate change for years & years, but he acknowledged his age. He looks more fit than he did a decade ago so I'm open to his playing a major role in govt again, but we've all seen the toll on those who take the #1 job seriously.
It was sickening to see Maher as I scrolled through my Bluesky page. He answered Gore's comment by saying how well Gore is aging, not to upset Dear Leader.
Because he was running for office and he was highly focused on the oncoming hellscape climate change was going to cause but half the country that he was full of shit and a 3rd insisted on voting for the guy who never had a chance anyway, Nader.
My point is that over and over again Dems tear down excellent candidates then regret it years later. We do this over and over and over again and we never goddamn learn the basic lesson that nothing will improve if we allow GOP to keep taking power.
There certainly is a reason he is showing up on shows. I would vote for him in a f*cking heartbeat ... even at his age because he is sharp as a tack. I think he wants people to pull him into the fight and force him to run. Will it happen?? ... ehhh
There is such variation in people in their 70s and 80s… I’ve been a 80 year old since I was 40…. I could not keep up with my parents energetically even into their 90s….age is a number until you get health issues ….
My point being that’s a 70+ year old I’d vote for compared to an adderall dependent 70+with current dementia signs who can’t even read briefs: Question is what is their biological age vs chronological age…. *btw Covid increases biological age 3-10 yrs as per studies. Avoid reinfection.
If we go for another old white guy at the top, how about Senator Sheldon Whitehouse? Or, younger, Tim Walz? JB Pritzger? Josh Shapiro? Adam Schiff? Yes, Mayor Pete? Our white guy bench is pretty deep.
He’s 77 and ran 25 years ago but I could see him being a good President right now. We’ve all wondered what the world would be like if he beat Bush but I’m wondering what the world would be like if he stepped up in 2020 instead of Biden.
He's the perfect attack dog for a Democratic candidate in 2028.
No fucks to give, old and white so other old white dudes will listen to him, knowledgeable about the process, he's proven himself on a global stage and he's smart in camera.
The OG stolen election victim. Every time I see a post saying “why didn’t Kamala fight the results” I remember Al Gore and all the abuse he got for contesting that election.
But he just keeps on fighting the good fight for us.
We need his voice. He would totally put us back on track for environmental issues if he ran for office. THE existential crisis that puts the fierce urgency in NOW. 🌎

And nothing has changed with voters since then.
It's not like Dems were practicing patience and forethought in the immediate aftermath of the attacks, either.
Hillary, Gore, Harris..
And look where we are.
He looks great!

Have him stump for the 28 candidate!
Tall order but he seems vivacious as heck right now.
But he just keeps on fighting the good fight for us.
Go, Al!
Because I will get behind this.
