I'm buying my first wheelchair and for now just need something affordable and lightweight that won't be hard on my arms to roll (have #EDS) and maneuvers really well because our place has some tight areas for turning and navigating. My dad had a chair that you could swap out the big wheels for small ones - that might be a feature to look for. With the small wheels it's easy to get around in the house or on regular floors etc - for outside, the big ones are easier. They just pop on and off, so changing is easy.

What is the max price range for affordable? And is it only for in your house, or will you need to get around on bumpy sidewalks/paths? r/wheelchairs is a wealth of information on this, but affordable and light and easy to manoeuvre on your own don't usually go together. 😢

My older main outdoor chair is an invacare espirit action but the indoor turning radius isn't great, my husband is able to take it apart to put it in the car for me. My indoor chair is a quickie QS5x that folds, but on carpet I can barely push it. I can lift it by taking off the wheels though.
