Created a very quick starter pack since folks asked (it's very much draft and I will add more) and create one for Global South scholars. Enjoy! https://go.bsky.app/EMDjhiX
It’s very basic & hastily put together, needs more refinement as it’s across topics. Will add and create other lists, esp one for Global South scholars
Welcome. It’s very hastily put together and across different topics that i find useful and people on this site have spoken critically about or published on. The list will grow.
P.S. this is a tiny selection of people, organizations or collectives I’ve followed/know who have raised critical issues. It’s not an exclusive or exhaustive list, there are thousands more. i will add to this list but I’m both ill & then out of the country, so please have patience. Watch this space.
Another point: I don’t add people by request unless I am familiar with your work. This is not a catch-all for others to follow. If you want that, then go to my ‘follows’ or ‘followers’ list on my profile and add those people.
When I put together the starter pack on global south and decolonial perspectives, I didn’t limit the list to people whose work I am familiar with, otherwise it would have been my own personal (biased/narrow) list. Just a thought. I am adding people who make requests provided they work on the issue.
That’s fine, your choice, don’t need the condescension. I’m adding people as i become familiar with their work or learn what they do - I can’t add strangers randomly who may not fit at all. I put this together quickly today & it’ll grow. Not sure why you constantly have to comment on my posts tho.
Apologies, didn't mean it that way, and of course your call. Hoping for meaningful intellectual discussion on mutually topics of research that are critical (like climate change, decoloniality). That's how good discussions happen. Didn't realize you didn't want people to comment on your posts.
I welcome comments & meaningful intellectual discussion. I’ve been doing so for years across social media sites for years. But today everyone seems to have an opinion on how I do anything, which often comes across as condescending or gaslighting. Sorry yours came across that way to me.
Are you working on decolonial and global south perspectives on climate change, development, environmental justice and degrowth? Sorry, couldn’t tell by your profile.
I will add to the list as I become familiar with who’s here & what they do. If we weren’t longstanding mutuals on other sites I may not be as familiar with your work. And i will create other lists. Please have patience as I’m dealing with other issues. Thanks.
Can you add me to this list, Farhana? As my career has progressed I have converted to the decolonial/abolition side of things. Thank you for starting the list!
