He leverages Stoicism as a life hack tool instead of as a life philosophy. There’s nothing wrong with reading him but he gets a lot wrong about Stoic philosophy if someone is trying to learn Stoic philosophy.

Depends. Are you looking to make Stoicism your “religion”/life philosophy, or are you looking to leverage certain parts of it to change certain behaviours about yourself that you find like? Are your trying to be *A* Stoic, or are you just looking for some Stoic augmentation?
I enjoy learning about the philosophy and those who embodied it. I resonate with the four virtues and focusing on what is within our control. I see it as a practice. While I’m not perfect, neither was Seneca.
I didn’t really get the life hack vibe from him as opposed to introducing people to the principles and examples from other people in history outside the stoics. But keen to learn more from others, obviously reading from Marcus, Seneca Epictetus themselves.
