MedTwitter was more than just friends! It was collegial case discussions, it was 'instant international journal clubs' to digest new publications, it was tweetorials worth bookmarking for later reference, it was a place to coordinate advocacy efforts. I hope we get all that here in time too. 🤗
I totally agree. I often learned more in the online paper discussions than a local journal club. The ability to chat directly to the authors and to international experts on the topic was unparalleled.
When Western Health Officers were sprouting what I knew to be utter bollocks re Covid, scientifically & medically, it was folk from MedTwitter who essentially said, "no, you're not going mad, something else is at play here."

I’ve found some I followed on x and more. I used to be distrustful of medicine & was anti vax for yrs, what Ive learnt from med twitter has completely changed me. I got my kids vaccinated as teens & am horrified at the dis & misinformation i believed.
