The only argument I’ve heard from the right is that Coney Barrett was a “DEI” pick chosen only bc she’s a woman. They then bash her for being dumb and unqualified, which apparently they only came to realize when she didn’t rule the way they wanted in a few cases.

I checked if there were rationalizations from conservatives for hating on Coney Barrett rather than Roberts. I did see a few defend her because judiciary should be independent! But genuinely the only explicitly stated reason that I could find from the Enraged MAGA community is that she’s a woman.
